Welcome to Chaud Restaurant
Chef Khalid Mohammed is the talent and brainchild behind
Chaud Restaurant, the most elegant fine dining restaurant in
Trinidad and Tobago.
Known for his eclectic style of cooking, Khalid possesses
both the skill and the flair that enables him to fuse local and
international flavours with finesse and sophistication. He has
had the opportunity to cook for many local and international
dignitaries including President Bill Clinton, the King and
Queen of Spain, the President of Nigeria, Donald Trump,
Gianni Versace and our own President George Maxwell
Richards.
After studying at the French Culinary Institute in New York,
one of the world's finest culinary institues, Khalid worked in
several restaurants in Miami and New York before returning
to Trinidad where he started his culinary ascent at the
Lighthouse Restaurant Crews Inn. He established his name
on the local culinary stage while working as Head Chef at
Battimamzelle Restaurant where his menus embraced and
celebrated the integration of the west indian palate with
epicurean french cuisine.
Thrilling his loyal customers in November 2008, Khalid
soared to new heights with the opening of his restaurant,
Chaud. Upon arrival, friendly valets greet you and you are
given a sneak preview of the chefs hard at work creating
Chaud's signature dishes. As you enter our doors, the lush
flora of the Savannah envelops you and instantly you begin
to unwind. Undoubtedly, the dining experience from the
verandah, with the awe-inspiring view of the Savannah, is a
truly memorable affair. Chaud additionally offers private
dining, private functions and conference facilities in the
comfort of the Savannah Room located upstairs.
If you are looking for an exquisite dining experience where
great food, wine, service and ambiance meet to create your
perfect evening, visit us at Chaud, we cannot wait to indulge
